Yep, theres the forecast for this next week. I'm not complaining cause I know we need the rain and we will be wishing for it come July and September.
Our General Contractor says everything in the building industry has come to a screeching halt. This is because of a variety of things, some political ( can you say trickle down?) and some not. Most contractors are not willing to lose their butts on the escalating prices of lumber etc. We are fortunate because the majority of our framing for the house itself is metal and not wood. But welding can still not be done in the rain.
On another note I was able to take advantage of some sales tax freedom and buy my washer, dryer, dishwasher and built in microwave with some fairly heafty savings. Nice to be able to feel like you came out ahead somewhere.
So waiting is the name of the game at present and it's hard to get mad at things that are way beyond your control.
